Because of who God is and what he's done in Jesus, everyone who believes in him is adopted into his family and gets a new identity. For Soma that new identity shapes how we live all of life. It really is all about Jesus. As the Father sent him, Jesus sends us on his mission of making disciples.
Over the last ten years Acts 29 has emerged from a small band of brothers to over 400 churches in the United States and networks of churches in multiple countries. We want to allow a unifying, uncommon move of God to happen through Acts 29 -- all centered on the gospel and advancing the mission of Jesus through obediently planting church-planting churches. It is our desire to see this leading to millions of lives changed by the power of the Spirit for the glory of God.

You’ll spend 4 years ( or 7?) of your life in college … incredible friendships, crazy adventures, freedom…it’s awesome! We believe that life is all about relationships. We were created with a burning desire to be connected to others: to know others an be known by others, yet still loved. We believe that all those longings for the ultimate life can be found in a living breathing relationship with Jesus Christ. That’s what we want, to connect students with God and each other!
Missionaries sent out from our family
We have a story to tell... one we've been telling! Of a God who loves us despite the very worst about us. Who is good and gracious. Who is unchanging and ever-present. He has changed us, and we want to share of the freedom, joy, and peace we have found in Him. We have not achieved anything. We are not better than. We've endured hardship, fallen, and gotten back up again. We are sinners, loved by Jesus, and we desperately need Him! We hope to love others well, sharing our story in the process, trusting that they might come to know Him too.
God has put the people of Africa on our hearts, and we are eager to use whatever gifts and skills we have to bless the people there. Yes, there is much suffering and poverty and corruption, but there is also beauty and joy and simplicity. We hope to learn from our African brothers and sisters as we live amongst them; we know that they have as much to offer us (if not more) than we have to offer them. We will be serving in Nairobi, Kenya with Africa Inland Mission(AIM). John is an aircraft mechanic and will be using his skills to help maintain the fleet of airplanes that AIM uses to transport missionaries, medical supplies, relief aid, teachers, etc.
