Fatherlessness is a real issue in our own back yard as well as around the world. As Christians, being adopted ourselves, we have a responsibility to care for these children. Maybe that means adopting or maybe it means helping support others so they can adopt. Whatever it looks like we all should be involved in some way.
Soma's Adoption Support Group is for anyone interested in learning more about adoption and for supporting those families who have chosen to adopt. We meet once a month on the third Monday from 6:30-8:00 to discuss adoption. Some people are currently pursuing adoption while others are just in the beginning stages. What ever process you are in if you have heart for adoption we hope you will join us. Child care is provided. Please contact us if you need more information.
The 68:5 Fund provides financial grants to Christian couples in the Inland Northwest who are pursuing adoption. Our Father God adopts us into His family through the death and resurrection of His only son, Jesus Christ. As His children, we seek to proclaim His loving, adoptive character by adopting children into our families and encouraging other Christian couples to do the same. Adoption is not a second-best option. Just as we are truly and fully God’s children and heirs, so too are our adopted children truly and fully ours. In addition to grants, we also hope to be a resource to families and churches in the Inland Northwest to provide information and support regarding adoption and care for orphans.
