Equipping Classes

Tools for the mission

At Soma Spokane, we want to better equip every member of our body for the work of being on mission in our city. One way we do that is through various class offerings. Classes are offered year-round with courses beginning each spring and fall. For more information, contact us at

Gospel Basics

The Gospel Basics is a 10-week study on Gospel, Community, and Mission. It explores our Gospel Identities and Rhythms as a church, and will help you get connected to the heartbeat of Soma Spokane. Download the manual here. For information about the next Gospel Basics course, email

Gospel Fluency Workshop

The Gospel Fluency workshop is a One Day training geared toward helping every member of the body become competent in “speaking the truth in love” into the lives of believers and not-yet-believers alike. In this class we learn to listen well, ask good questions, and get under the surface in order to apply the good news of the gospel directly to our hearts.

Missional Community Life Workshop

The Missional Community Life workshop is a One Day training geared toward equipping Jesus followers to live a life of gospel, community, and mission. In this workshop we cover a broad understanding the message of the gospel, define what a disciple of Jesus is and what discipleship is all about, and give practical handles for how we can live a disciplemakers in community all week long.
